A diverse choice of locations awaits the new entrepreneur
in the City of Owen Sound!
Owen Sound, home to a wide variety of retail and excellent specialty
stores, can be divided into three distinct retail zones:
- The East Side includes Heritage Place Shopping
Centre, Zehrs, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, restaurants and
dozens of smaller retail stores.
- The West Side includes the 7-theatre Galaxy
Cinema, a NO FRILLS outlet, Foodland, numerous fast food restaurants and
many smaller retailers.
- Historic Downtown Owen Sound has undergone
a
facelift in recent years. Rich in heritage, it has more than 1 million
square feet of commercial space hosting boutique shopping, financial
services and unique restaurants.
- Assistance to the new or already established business owner is close
at hand. The Business Enterprise Centre
offers ongoing support and advice to city and area entrepreneurs. The
Centre is an initiative between Owen Sound, the Province of Ontario
and other partners.
