The Business Enterprise Centre – Owen Sound and Area is part of the Ontario Small Business Support Network and is supported through the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in partnership with the City of Owen Sound.  Also contributing are our office partners, Business Development Bank of Canada, Bruce Community Futures Development Corporation and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

The Business Enterprise Centre - Owen Sound & Area offers support to entrepreneurs through the early stages of business development. The Centre's staff is also there to offer advice as the business grows during those crucial first years. Here's how we can help you and your business:

Business Counselling, Services Offered:

• No fee consultations to aid in the start up and growth of your business
• No fee assistance to existing businesses that wish to expand, re-organize or just improve
• Information regarding the regulations of all levels of government including taxation and employment
• Answers to many business related questions including employee issues, marketing, export, sourcing suppliers, and new product development
• No fee guidance and support through business planning including market research and financial forecasting
• Information on copyrights, patents and trademarks
• Review of business plans

2010 Summer Company applications being accepted online now!

This is an Ontario government program for students aged 15 to 29 to start and run a summer business.  Summer Company is delivered and coordinated through your local Business Enterprise Centre.  Successful applicants will receive up to $1500 for business start up costs along with hands-on coaching and training and an additional award of up to $1500 upon successful completion of the program.
