The Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library
The
Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library was founded in 1855 as
the Owen Sound Mechanics' Institute.
Today, it is a full-services public library serving the needs of all
residents and taxpayers of the City of Owen Sound, the Township of Chatsworth,
the Township of Georgian Bluffs and the Municipality of Meaford (the former
Sydenham Township portion).
The library collection includes:
- more than 100 thousand books, music, and videos
- public access Internet terminals
- a computer equipped children's department
- a comprehensive local history section
