Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm
Closed Sundays and Holidays
We do not accept televisions or microwave ovens in the electronics-recycling bin. These items must be put in the garbage bin at the transfer station. Businesses wishing to dispose of computer monitors must first contact the Public Works at
519-376-4274.
Fees
- Residents of the City of Owen Sound : NO COST for disposal of any acceptable electronic equipment or hardware.
- Commercial : must call the Public Works (376-4274) to arrange a drop-off time. A charge of $10.00/monitor will apply to monitors only and all other electronic equipment and /or hardware will be accepted free of charge.
Please Note: This service is not available to residents or commercial facilities outside of the City of Owen Sound with the exception of residents of the Municipality of Meaford.

- No Electric Typewriters
- No Electric and manual calculators
- No Televisions
- No Conventional cameras
- No Large appliances and white goods* (stove, oven, refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave oven)
- No Electric hand tools, power tools and equipment
- No Electric relays
- No Electric motors
* Appliances free of CFC/Freon (refrigerants) can be put in the scrap metal bin at the Miller Waste Transfer Station. Place any units containing refrigerants (fridge, freezer, air conditioner etc) in the designated white goods area at the Miller Waste Transfer Station.
