Site Plan approval is a key component in implementing the City's Official Plan to ensure that development achieves a high level of urban design and provides facilities to ensure proper site function. Site plan approval is required for industrial, commercial and institutional developments as well as multiple residential developments over 4 units. Draft Site Plan Guidelines have been prepared that describes requirements for site design in the City.
